Friendships can change over time.. but what you had in the past is still valid and true. Sorry that it was a painful ending, but please give yourself kudos for being a good friend when you were needed.Carol E.https://www.blogger.com/profile/02741550863747328734noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19088726.post-42937566956594484012007-10-08T17:25:00.000-07:002007-10-08T17:25:00.000-07:00This is so sad, Dona. Being good friends with your neighbor is an ideal friendship. You two used to walk together and shop together. What a waste this is.Joannehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02203003378048833682noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19088726.post-5236503437377105662007-10-05T08:28:00.000-07:002007-10-05T08:28:00.000-07:00Sorry you lost the friendship with your neighbor, ...Sorry you lost the friendship with your neighbor, that does hurt, as I have lost friendships in the past also.

One possibility is, her personality changed after her heart attacks which does happen, and she really isn't the same person you once knew, again so sorry.

Annie
: )Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19088726.post-60540596070491701282007-10-03T16:36:00.000-07:002007-10-03T16:36:00.000-07:00Snap out of it! I'm sorry for this lost and I know it's hard, you feel lost yourself-feel the guilt of not doing everything "right".

It's a cross road, and we all grow from experiences like this. She was the friend you needed her to be and at the right time. Now it's time to move on and find one a new friend to build new happy memories and hopefully grow together.

Hugs.Quilting Piratehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06965770105669216160noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19088726.post-87734296010799031932007-09-25T11:51:00.000-07:002007-09-25T11:51:00.000-07:00I am sorry for your loss - it is hard, especially ...I am sorry for your loss - it is hard, especially with that long of a "friendship".Kim Westhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16412917146634111911noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19088726.post-6038713452074409962007-09-25T11:45:00.000-07:002007-09-25T11:45:00.000-07:00I'm so sorry you've had to go through this Dona. ...I'm so sorry you've had to go through this Dona. I hope time will help heal your hard feelings.

I think each of us has had at least one experience like this. I know I have. The "friend" has lived across the street from us since we first moved in - 33+ years ago now. I thought we were very close, but I guess I was fooling myself all these years. We wave now if we see each other as we drive by, but it's been years since either of us visited the others home. She obviously has a different definition of friendship than I do.Pattihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07125491177774966237noreply@blogger.com
